Planning to visit GRAND Designs Live this year?  With so much to see over the 9 days, Anna Gamble at Customised highlights her top tech features at the largest home building show in the UK.

The GRAND Technology Zone will feature the latest products in entertainment, lighting, health and fitness, homeware gadgets and home automation.  These are the pick of the tech exhibitors;

    PURE THEATRE, stand L271, design and manufacture concealed home cinema projector screens and projector lifts for the ultimate unobtrusive home cinema experience.

    HDL UK, stand L289, HDL is a home control system which manages and controls every aspect of your Smart Home, from zonal heating, mood lighting and motorised blinds to controlling your home with their new mobile app or attractive new touchscreens, pictured below.  Customised, award winning HDL UK installers, will be providing Smart Home advice on the HDL stand throughout the show.

Home technology can also be found in other areas of the show, including;

    LEVITAS DESIGN, stand L12 in GRAND Interiors, a GDL ‘One to Watch’.  Inspired by magic, Levitas Design presents the eagerly awaited British Exo Levitating Bed, creating unique style, atmosphere and space in your bedroom.

    YALE, stand B290 in GRAND Build, are a well known home security company specialising in digital door locks, smart home alarms, Doormaster replacement multipoint locks,  CCTV and mechanical locking.

The GRAND Theatre, sponsored by Airflow, will host several technology discussions, including;

    Monday 4th May, 14:30, Wearable Tech - Blue Sky or Round the Corner?  Lucy Hedges, resident techno-nerd, and Pollyanna Woodward, TV presenter, discuss the most interesting innovations in wearable tech.

    Tuesday 5th May 12:00, Future Techstravaganza.  How useful, relevant and eco-friendly are the latest tech ideas for eco living, asks Lucy Hedges, self confessed geek and GRAND Designs resident techno-nerd.

    Saturday 9th May 14:30, Let There Be Light.  Beau McLellan presents his unique take on the importance of lighting design in the home.

Customised One to Watch; ‘House or Home’ Wayne Hemingway presents some tried and tested solutions for often woeful standard of modern housebuilding on Wednesday 6th 14:30.

Don’t forget to visit the interactive Green House in GRAND Technology.  A walkthrough The Green House will show visitors they don’t have to compromise on technology in order to stay eco-friendly.  Customised would go one step further and state that technology can make your house more eco-friendly, by automating the heating, lighting and blinds to reduce energy wastage.
